The Literaturhaus Graz and the Graz Children’s Museum FRida & freD have been cooperating since 2024 as part of the bookolino children’s literature programme.

The aim is to make the two-week festival, which has been held very successfully in the premises of the Literaturhaus Graz at Elisabethstraße 30 since 2003, more sustainable. Among other things, the duration will be extended in order to reach a larger audience with a longer-term programme. bookolino will become a children’s literature programme lasting several months, including a hands-on exhibition.

The exhibition design also aims to be able to be used for years to come. A modular shelving system is the framework for the annually changing hands-on exhibitions. On the one hand, they are dedicated to the material of writing, i.e. the creation and passing on of stories and illustrative presentation, and on the other, they focus on the currently award-winning children’s books.
